School receives books donated by guests
The Municipal Library Henrique Bertolucci Nephew School, Gramado, is to be congratulated: 70 books in excellent condition were donated by guests of the Hotel Bangalôs da Serra as part of the project "Solidarity Holidays".
Held since 2010, the initiative has raised about 320 copies. By Solidarity Hosting, tourists donate juvenile literature books and Children and Youth and obtain discounts in the daily rate at the hotel.
The project's mission is to consolidate the educational development of the community through tourism. "Supporting education and encourage the habit of reading in young people is part of our sustainability policy," says Marilu Kern, who celebrated this achievement with the Vice Director of the School, Jenifer Foss Saul, (from left to right in the photo).
The Public School is a partner of the Hotel also the project "Knowing and Understanding Hospitality", which focuses on training in sustainable tourism aimed at the younger generations, and "Sowing Sustainability", which promotes the direct relationship of children with history, production and preparation of food from planting to the kitchen and tasting the same.
